Jin-woo engages Rakan — the Beast Monarch — in direct combat. Rakan is one of the original eight Monarchs and his combat power is of a completely different scale to Legia. The fight tests Jin-woo’s limits in a way that nothing since the Ant King has. Rakan’s ability to control beast-type monsters creates an enormous supporting force around him, and Jin-woo has to fight through layers of that force before he can reach the Monarch himself. Beru, recognising the threat level, joins the fight without being summoned.
