Jin-woo finally breaks through the Ant King’s defences and delivers a sequence of attacks that overwhelm the creature’s regeneration. The Ant King, recognising it is losing for the first time in its existence, shifts to a more desperate and chaotic fighting style. Jin-woo absorbs the punishment and stays composed, eventually landing the killing blow. The island goes quiet. Jin-woo stands alone in the wreckage of the colony, and then extracts the Ant King’s soul — which becomes Beru, his most powerful shadow soldier to date.
