Jin-woo defeats the Plague Monarch and the infection outbreak in Southeast Asia begins to recede as the monster forces lose their coordination. Two Monarchs remain. Jin-woo tracks the signals of the remaining two — Antares, the King of Dragons, and one other — and recognises that Antares is categorically more dangerous than anything he has faced.
