A brief return to Jin-woo’s perspective as he reflects on the people he carries with him — the ones whose souls are in his shadow army, the ones who died in the original timeline and were brought back, the ones who died in this timeline of ordinary causes and whom he mourned in the ordinary way. The chapter is meditative and honest about what it means to outlive the world as you knew it and to keep going anyway. Jin-woo does not dramatise this. He simply carries it, the way the Shadow Monarch always has.
